There isn't any restrooms or drinking water at the trailhead. The trail take you on a tour of pine flatwoods, basin marsh, tidal marsh, wet hardwood hammocks & basin swamps. The trail can be muddy during rainy season.
Take US 19 North out of Crystal River, turn Left just past Denny's on State Park St. Take it all the way to the end & thats were the trailhead starts. It's jjust past the road that goes the Archaeological State Park.
